The Fisher lab studies spatial navigation in the fruit fly in order to understand how nervous systems flexibly process information.

Our research combines in vivo electrophysiology, 2-photon imaging, advanced genetic approaches and quantitative behavioral analysis to understand how the fly’s brain constructs and maintains a sense of direction under ever-changing conditions.
